LA County Probation Case Management System (PCMS)
"The major advantages of PCMS for the County have been the cost savings. PCMS replaced 11 disparate systems, thus reducing the maintenance cost and the staff requirements. It also provides significant benefits of having accurate and timely information, which enables the Probation Department to concentrate on providing the services and programs, instead of spending its resources’ time in gathering and summarizing information from 11 disparate systems. PCMS was designed with an enterprise focus, and it enables the Probation Department to track, measure and report the success of the programs and services made available to the probationers. PCMS also gives the Probation Department the capability of having a system that enables them to monitor and assess evidenced-based practices. Lastly, PCMS interfaces and shares/ provide data with five major systems within the law enforcement departments spanning the county, state and federal jurisdictions."
