Cook County Adult Probation and Social Service Departments Select Capita Case
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- May 9, 2016 -- Capita Technologies, Inc. -- a leading provider of case and offender management software solutions for criminal justice agencies -- has signed an agreement with Cook County, Illinois for the Capita Case Probation Management solution for use in the Adult Probation and Social Services Departments of the Illinois’ Circuit Court of Cook County.
Cook County encompasses Chicago and its 126 surrounding suburbs -- over 5 million residents -- and is the largest of the 24 judicial circuits in Illinois, with over 1.2 million cases filed each year.
The Adult Probation Department has an active caseload of about 28,000 individuals in pretrial and probation. Additionally, the Social Service Department provides post-dispositional correctional casework services to approximately 12,000 individuals placed on supervision or found guilty of felony, misdemeanor, traffic and ordinance offenses.
